John Connelly

Born in Chicago, Illinois. My father moved our family to Lakewood, Washington when i was 5. Grew up, attended Lakes High School. Received All-American Honors in swimming (100 backstroke). Attended Stanford University. Block S Award, (swam 4 years on the Stanford Varsity) and All-American 400 yd. Medley Relay (with Olympians John Hencken and Dave Fairbank). Member of SAE. Graduated in 1978 in Human Biology and Psychology and attended UC LAW (formerly Hastings). JD in 1981. Extern for the Honorable William H. Orrick, U.S. District Court, San Francisco, CA, Spent 25 years at Gordon, Thomas, Honeywell law firm in Tacoma and Seattle - served a term as Board Chair (managing partner). In 2006 formed Connelly Law Offices. Now have offices in Tacoma, Seattle and Spokane. Past President of Washington Association for Justice, Member American Board of Trial Advocates, Fellow, International Academy of Trial Lawyers, Selected Irish Legal 100, Fellow, American Bar Foundation. Community Activities include, President Tacoma, Library Board. Ownership group, Tacoma Rainiers Professional Baseball Team, (Seattle Mariners AAA affiliate); Owner Highlands Golf Course and McDuffs Highlands Cafe. Currently a grandfather to 7 granddaughters and waiting for more (including grandsons)). Live in Tacoma, Washington and Oro Valley AZ.
