About Michael Petkovich
Since entering private practice in 1986, Mr. Petkovich has handled a wide range of employment law matters. In doing so, he has conducted numerous state and federal court bench and jury trials. Over the past four years, Mr. Petkovich has conducted one state court bench trial in a non-compete action, and five jury trials in state and federal court involving employment discrimination claims. The plaintiff prevailed in only one of those six trials, but received a gross damage award that was substantially below plaintiff’s final settlement demand.In 1992, Mr. Petkovich and one other lawyer opened the firm’s Chicago Office. During 1994, Mr. Petkovich became the Managing Partner for the Chicago Office and helped grow the office to fifteen lawyers. During late 2000, he moved to Jackson Lewis D.C. Region Office. Since 2001, the D.C. Region Office has grown from nine total cases to over thirty lawyers.
