My law firm is Lipp Law; my business consultancy is Law Practice Queen.Lipp Law provides labor, employment, and business law representation in the DMV (DC, MD, VA). We are your DMV workplace attorney, assisting businesses, executives, professionals, and educators.I help my Lipp Law clients with HR counseling, employment and labor law compliance, severance negotiations, employee terminations, non-competes, and education law.In addition to my law firm, I am a business consultant for law firm owners and entrepreneurs. I provide private and group business consulting for business growth, as well as host regular networking events for female business owners.MY STORYAfter lawyering for a decade, and working in several firms, I craved more. I built a book of business at a firm, but didn’t have enough time to focus on myself or my family the way I needed to.So I made changes. In 2018, I got help and was diagnosed with postpartum depression and anxiety. I started therapy. These challenges came with a silver lining - they allowed me the mental space to start a business.In 2019, I started my law firm, Lipp Law. I currently have 5 attorneys including me, a Firm Relations Manager, and in 2022, my husband quit his full time job to support my firm as our Firm Operations Manager.In 2019 I founded Law Practice Queen to teach business development and business growth. I provide business consulting services to law firms, legal teams, and business owners who want to expand. A large part of my mission with LPQ is to support women in business and law, and I have a networking group for female entrepreneurs and lawyers.WHO AM I? I love music. My favorites are 90’s pop, rap, and alternative. I like writing, dogs, yoga, stand-up comedy, and the spa. June 2019 is my sober date.
