Travis Marker

Mr. Marker attended Weber State University, Ogden, Utah, before attending Willamette University College of Law, Salem, Oregon. While attending Willamette, Mr. Marker received a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Willamette's nationally ranked Center in Dispute Resolution. Dispute resolution is a core theme in Mr. Marker's advocacy philosophy. To promote this idea he attended Pepperdine University's Straus Institute. The number one dispute resolution program in the nation. He was admitted to its Masters in Dispute Resolution program. Before participating in the program full-time he was accepted in Bond University School of Law's Masters of Law (LLM) program in Dispute Resolution. Bond University is a beautiful school on the Pacific coast of Australia in the City of Gold Coast. After receiving his LLM in Dispute Resolution, Mr. Marker returned to Utah and started his practice. He has had a diverse practice which has provide him the opportunity to work with entities such as the World Trade Center-Utah, SCORE, The Small Business Development Center at Weber State, and other businesses. Mr. Marker encourages mediation in his private cases and also has a mediation case load where he mediates as the mediator between parties. In addition to mediating he is a trainer who has presented classes for attorneys representing parents. He has also created a negotiation seminar certified for continuing legal education accredited in Texas, Florida, Illinois, Washington, California, Oregon, and Utah. The J. Reuben Clark Law Society is an association of attorneys who believe religion has an important role in the practice of law. Mr. Marker is the international chair of the chapter's section for alternative dispute resolution.
