About Elizabeth Gilbert

Liz is a Personal Injury and Wrongful Death litigation attorney. Liz has been practicing law for 28 years. Liz began her legal career as a prosecutor with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office. During her tenure there she prosecuted large, high-profile gang/criminal syndicate cases, including investigations involving joint state and federal task forces. Liz prosecuted more than 75 felony jury trials, including a capital murder case. In 2007, just before leaving the County Attorney's Office, she completed the prosecution of a group of 41 White Supremacists who were selling guns and drugs throughout Maricopa County. This was an investigation headed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Liz received an award from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms as a result of this prosecution. In 2007, Liz joined the firm of Wilkes & McHugh, representing plaintiffs who had been injured by their care providers, under the Adult Protective Services Act (APSA). Liz conducted both jury trials and arbitrations while working at Wilkes & McHugh, securing a $2,000,000 verdict on one of her jury trials. In 2012, Liz joined the firm of Jones, Skelton & Hochuli where she initially focused her practice on defending governmental entities and their employees. Liz's cases varied from employment-law related matters, general liability and allegations of civil rights violations, including claims of medical negligence and wrongful death. In 2017, Liz shifted the focus of her practice to the defense of elder abuse cases and medical malpractice claims against healthcare facilities and licensed providers. In July 2023, Liz proudly joined the firm of Miller, Kory & Rowe and looks forward to using her knowledge and experience to bring justice to those who have been injured and harmed at the hands of those who promised, but failed, to provide care to them. Liz is a "rabid" University of Michigan fan, with a special love for Michigan football and hockey. She is also an avid supporter of her niece nephew who play competitive volleyball and hockey. During any given week, she can be found cheering at a volleyball game or pounding on the glass at the hockey rink. She also enjoys snowboarding with her husband and spending time with her extended family.
