My practice is focused on estate and trust administration, probates, guardianships/conservatorships, and mediations. I also have a niche interest in complex and difficult collections and enforcements of judgments. With my team of around 70 attorneys, we have the in-house expertise to handle even the trickiest situations. More details on each practice area: -Estate and Trust Administration: Family members thrust into the role of trustee or executor need experienced counsel to guide them through that process, both in court and out of court. Most of my practice is spent guiding my clients through the tricky process of tracking down, liquidating, and distributing estate and trust assets, while avoiding fights with siblings. -Third Party Trustee Services: Some families want or need a neutral third party to serve as a buffer between family members. Others need a third-party because they live far away or simply don't have the time to take on the day-to-day tasks of a trustee or executor. In those situations, I enjoy taking on that role and have found great pleasure in helping families have a smooth administration experience. -Mediations: Utah law requires that all Will and Trust disputes be referred to mediation before litigation can continue in the courts. I am available to serve as a mediator. -Probates and Related Disputes: Most estate planners run from a dispute and avoid court at all costs. I have been litigating for over 18 years and am comfortable in state and federal court, and in arbitrations and mediations. I love helping families through difficult will and trust disputes, guardianships, conservatorships, probate, etc. -Collections. Most litigators are great at motions, discovery, and getting things to a judgment, but don't know what to do after that. Enforcing a judgment takes a unique set of skills and understanding of different rules. I work with other attorneys to help them collect for their clients. I also work with clients to help them collect outstanding AR and to implement strong contracts that are easier to enforce and collect on.
