About Amy Sorenson
I’m a nationally recognized civil litigator with over 25 years of experience practicing in the federal and state courts of Utah, Nevada, and California. I take a collaborative approach to my work and bring energy and focus to every matter I take on. Over the years, I’ve led high-profile cases ranging from complex business litigation to federal constitutional and statutory “bet-the-company” challenges. I also advise businesses outside the courtroom, helping them navigate difficult internal investigations with discretion and care. My industry experience includes financial services, higher education, sports, and technology. I’m driven by a strong sense of duty and service, and I don’t shy away from challenges I believe in. Within my firm, I serve as Co-Chair of the Financial Services Litigation Practice Group and previously served on the Expanded Executive Committee. I’m also proud to have founded the Snell & Wilmer Women’s Initiative, which supports the career development of our women attorneys. Giving back to the legal community matters deeply to me. Since 2018, I’ve co-chaired the Utah State Bar Access to Justice Commission, and I recently led the Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel for the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah.
