About Sarah Spencer
I am a commercial litigator and appellate advocate with two decades of experience. I focus on complicated multi-claim and multi-party cases involving contracts, fiduciary duties, corporate governance, fraud, trademark, copyright, and related matters. My favorite projects are emergency motions at the beginning of a lawsuit: temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions, prejudgment wrist of attachment, etc. Clients who need to mount an aggressive litigation attack (or counter-attack) under a short deadline regularly seek my advice and counsel. When other lawyers say there is not enough time, I say there's plenty. I defend the interests of businesses in tort and negligence lawsuits involving product liability, professional liability, premises liability, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death. I am an experienced appellate lawyer. I handle all facets of appellate work including appeals arising from interlocutory orders, preliminary injunctions and other provisional remedies, dispositive rulings, summary judgment orders, trial verdicts, and post-judgment motions. I also represent industry organizations in preparing amicus briefs on important issues of law.
