Elena Vetter

Elena T. Vetter is a shareholder of Parsons Behle & Latimer and a member of the firm’s Employment Department. Her practice includes employment law, antitrust and competition, business litigation, and First Amendment disputes. She defends employers in claims involving discrimination, harassment, wage and hour issues, retaliation, and wrongful termination under state and federal employment statutes including the ADA, Title VII, FMLA, and FLSA.In addition to litigation, Elena provides proactive compliance counsel, helping employers develop effective workplace policies to reduce legal risk. Her broader commercial litigation work includes breach of contract, tortious interference, non-compete and non-solicitation enforcement, and cases involving intellectual property and antitrust concerns.Elena also maintains a First Amendment and government records practice, assisting clients in accessing public records and litigating disputes under laws such as GRAMA.She earned her J.D. from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law, where she served as Executive Articles Editor of the Utah Law Review and Director of the Street Law Legal Clinic. She received multiple academic honors, including CALI Awards and William H. Leary Scholar distinction. Elena completed her undergraduate education at Emory University, summa cum laude, with majors in English and Sociology and a minor in Economics.Elena is recognized by Chambers USA as an Associate to Watch (2025) and was named one of Utah Business Magazine’s Thirty Women to Watch (2022). She previously clerked for Judge Ryan M. Harris of the Utah Court of Appeals and is admitted to practice in Utah.
