About Stacy Ehrisman
I became an immigration attorney because I believe every person deserves to be seen, heard, and protected. I am called to give voice to the voiceless—to stand in the gap when systems fail and families are at risk of being torn apart. I founded The Ehrisman Law Firm, P.C. to fight for those whose lives hang in the balance, and to build a practice rooted in truth, justice, empathy, and relentless advocacy. Every case is personal. Every client matters. Licensed since 2009, I have practiced before 19 immigration courts and 12 USCIS field offices across the U.S., gaining deep, hands-on experience in removal defense, family-based petitions, waivers, and humanitarian relief. My legal path has taken me from my native state of Iowa through Georgia, Tennessee, New York, and Madrid, shaping the mission-driven practice I lead today. As Managing Attorney of The Ehrisman Law Firm, I have built and lead a multicultural, multilingual, and multinational team with the belief that a healthy, supported staff is essential to delivering bold, honest, and ethical advocacy for our clients. I’ve built a practice that balances internal wellness with external impact—prioritizing efficiency, integrity, and a deep sense of responsibility to the immigrant communities we serve. I believe knowledge is power, which is why I host a weekly Spanish-language live broadcast, Tus Derechos, and regularly speak at CLEs, community education forums, and Know Your Rights events. In addition to my legal practice, I serve as Vice President of the Gwinnett Chapter of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL) and as President/CEO of the Board of Directors for St. Nick’s Kids, Inc., a domestic and international adoption and child placement agency. I also serve on the Advocacy Policy Committee of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s Southeastern Synod, where I help shape the synod’s advocacy goals and policy direction as part of its broader mission of service and justice. As GAWL approached its centennial milestone, I was proud to be a contributing author in its first book: Path to Empowerment, Women Lawyers Sharing Stories of Connection, Triumph, and Resilience.
