I am honored to be nationally recognized as a preeminent defense attorney. My 46 year career includes numerous high profile cases and clients, including President Trump, entertainers TI, Rick Ross, Gunna and Usher. My cases include President Trump’s GA RICO/election interference case being dismissed in November 2025; not guilty verdict in the murder trial of pro football star Ray Lewis and J. Sweeting; the acquittal of Howard. K. Stern, the boyfriend/attorney for the late celebrity and playmate Anna Nicole Smith, in a conspiracy and prescription drug fraud case in Los Angeles, and the dismissal of his case; the successful defense of the owner of the infamous Gold Club in the largest RICO case in Georgia history; the successful defense of rap star/actor TI in his federal firearms case; and the successful defense of rapper and business mogul Rick Ross in 2017, who faced mandatory life imprisonment for kidnapping & multiple violent felonies, but pled no contest to misdemeanors and received probation. In Feb.-March 2023, I represented a laboratory owner prosecuted in the M.D. Fla. in a $1.4 billion dollar healthcare fraud and money laundering case brought by the DOJ. The indictment alleged a pass-through billing scheme where my client's out-of-network lab sent urine drug specimens to in-network rural hospitals for presumptive testing (screening), then did definitive testing (confirmatory) at my client's lab, and the hospital billed private insurers. Six cooperators, two experts, and multiple witnesses from three insurance companies testified for the government. My client was found not guilty on all counts by a federal jury in Jacksonville after a four week trial. He was facing 50 years in prison and a 75M forfeiture. In 2019, I defended a businessman charged with 30 counts of mail & wire fraud and 10 counts of money laundering in federal court in PA. My client’s business was alleged to have paid 5.1M in kickbacks over 22 years to a VP at Rite Aid Corp. in return for 45M in vendor sales. The VP and my client’s sole partner pled guilty and testified against him. We called no witnesses and my client did not testify. The jury found him not guilty on all counts. He was facing 700 years in prison and 15M forfeiture and restitution. In 2022, I was selected by Georgia Trend Magazine as one of the top 500 most influential leaders in GA. I was the only criminal defense attorney included. In 2020-2026, I was selected by ATLANTA MAGAZINE as one of the top 500 most powerful, influential leaders in Atlanta.
