About Jason Willcox
I specialize in the defense of individuals and corporate entities, both insured and self-insured, in civil litigation with an emphasis in employment litigation, civil rights litigation, and general civil litigation. Recognizing that litigation is disruptive and can significantly impact a company’s ability to meet its business objectives, I assist clients in developing strategies to prevent employment disputes and resolve conflicts expeditiously and in a cost-effective manner when they occur. Understanding that not all claims are avoidable and can only be resolved through litigation, I combine invaluable courtroom experience with effective and aggressive preparation to defend individuals, businesses and governmental agencies in state and federal courts, private mediation and arbitration, and matters before various administrative agencies in claims involving Title VII, FLSA, ADEA, ADA, EPA, FMLA, OSHA, Section 1981, and related tort claims arising from the hiring, retaining, promoting, disciplining, and termination of employees. Additionally, I defend governmental entities in Section 1983 governmental liability claims. I also prepare and revise employee handbooks, prepare employment agreements, severance agreements, confidentiality agreements, alternative dispute resolution policies, and workplace codes of conduct.
