About Jeffrey Kimmel
I'm a lawyer, author, business executive, speaker, and TV talk show director/producer/editor. I am the Managing Partner and CEO of my firm, responsible for operations, management, strategy, marketing, financial planning, and community outreach. I’ve always been a trial lawyer. As an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx, New York, I tried criminal cases. Since 1996, I’ve been trying civil cases on behalf of plaintiffs, mostly involving medical malpractice and personal injury. My new book, “What Layers Don’t Know – How to Run a Business and Start Loving Life®” was a #1 New Release on Amazon. Co-Authored with Professional Development Expert, Connie Henriquez. It’s a unique self-help book for lawyers that provides detailed guidance on managing and growing a business, as well as offering a fresh perspective and proven methods to overcome the stress and anxiety lawyers face daily. I was fortunate to be recognized as a “Trailblazer” and true agent of change in the legal field by the New York Law Journal in 2019. As a thought leader in the industry, I’ve written several articles published in the New York Law Journal and a chapter on trial preparation in the popular Inside the Minds series by Thomas Reuter. I was invited as an inaugural contributor to the New York Law Journal’s “Smart Litigator” and I’ve provided commentary and expertise on News 12, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox new stations as a legal analyst. As a speaker, I frequently lecture within the legal community on trial-related and business topics for National Business Institute (NBI), NYS Academy for Trial Lawyers, National Academy of Continuing Legal Education, New York County Lawyers’ Association, The City Bar, Brooklyn Law School, Lawline, Clear Law Institute, and myLawCLE. I also regularly participate as judge in Yale University’s annual Mock Trial competition. I volunteer for many worthwhile causes. Currently, I serve as Chair of the Advisory Council to Nassau Suffolk Legal Services, a non-profit that provides legal services to people in need. I also served on the Board of Directors of the New York County Lawyers’ Association. In addition, I’ve been a committee member for We Care, the charitable arm of the Nassau County Bar Association. In the television and social media arenas, I’ve worked as director, producer, and editor of TV talk shows Date Night with Connie & Chrissy and Start Loving Life with Connie. These shows can be seen on Cablevision and through on-line streaming platforms.
