About Katherine Markel
I am an experienced litigator admitted to practice in New York and the United States District Court for the Western District of New York. I handle and manage all aspects of litigated matters, including discovery, trials and appeals on behalf of corporations, hospitals and medical professionals. I have litigated all types of negligence matters, and the majority of my practice focuses on medical malpractice defense. I have successfully tried cases in New York State Supreme Court. I have also successfully handled numerous appeals before the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court. I am focused on driving cases to resolution at all levels with a forward-thinking, strategic-planning attitude. I have successfully resolved cases prior to litigation, as well as through all phases of litigation including mediation, arbitration and verdict at trial.
