Ms. Cornell is an AV rated, Super Lawyer, seasoned trial attorney with experience handling a wide range of complex litigation matters for corporate and individual clients in state and federal courts, as well as in court-sponsored and private arbitrations and mediations. Ms. Cornell regularly represents municipalities, major construction companies, corporations, hotels and educational institutions in construction-related matters, including the defense of construction accident cases, insurance coverage disputes, contract actions, labor disputes and products liability actions. A number of Ms. Cornell’s cases have resulted in reported decisions which continue to shape New York law.Board positions and Service positionsMs. Cornell is a sponsor of the DANY ( Defense Association of NY) Diversity initiative which provides programs and support directed to young women and minority attorneys.Ms. Cornell is a member of the Board of the non-profit "Hope On a String" which brings the power of music and the arts to communities in Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake to empower self sufficiency through those skills.Ms. Cornell is also engaged in an education fund created in in 2011 in her deceased parents names which provides scholarship assistance to graduates of Bridgeport ,CT public schools to assist chosen students with some of the cost to attend college.
