About Sandra Cohen
I'm an executive compensation and employee benefits lawyer with a background in M&A transactions. I help employers, plan sponsors and senior C-suite executives get the most out of their compensation plans, so that they can put these incentives to work! My favorite area of the tax law is Section 409A, but I also enjoy helping executives understand their equity compensation better and advising employers how to make sure those incentives are appreciated! In my day-to-day, I'm the Founder and Managing Partner of Cohen & Buckmann, a powerhouse boutique employee benefits law firm. Previously, for more than ten years, I led the U.S. Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits practice area in the New York office of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, focused on U.S. taxation of employees in Canada and cross-border compensation matters. Prior to that, I practiced law for six years at Sullivan & Cromwell, including as a M&A attorney. I love public speaking and teaching, and I am a regular author on executive compensation matters.
