Susan Egan has represented employers for more than 40 years. She specializes in representing employers seeking to comply with Federal, state and city laws and regulations respecting its personnel. Such rules govern payment, overtime, paid time off, the Family Medical Leave Act, disabilities, discrimination, hostile environments and sexual harassment and now the whole panoply of regulations and laws relating to COVID 19. Egan has represented employers subject to audit or investigation by the federal or state Departments of Labor, various licensing authorities and federal, state or city agencies enforcing statutes prohibiting discrimination. She also represents employers in litigations brought by these agencies against employers or by employees bringing private causes of action under these statutes. Ms. Egan has represented employers in litigations dealing with interns, independent contractors and misclassification of employees generally as well as under Fair Labor Standards Act.
