About Barbara Burger
Practice Areas: Family Law Matrimonial Law Trusts and Estates Professional Associations: New York State Bar Association New York Women's Bar Association New York County Lawyer's Association Ms. Burger began her legal career as a Law Assistant in the New York County Family Court where she provided legal services to Family Court Judges, including legal research, preparing decisions and orders and other legal documents. Ms. Burger reported to the Judges on substantive and procedural questions of law and drafted opinions which were submitted for official publication. Ms. Burger was also a hearing examiner for the New York City Board of Health Tribunal and the Environmental Control Board for the City of New York. From 1985 on, Ms. Burger has been engaged in private practice, focusing on family law and matrimonial issues as well as trusts and estates matters. Ms. Burger has been appointed as a law guardian for children by the courts in numerous Family Court and Supreme Court matters and has also been appointed by the Courts in Article 81 proceedings as the guardian for incapacitated persons. Ms. Burger and Ms. Green became partners in 2007.
