About Elizabeth Diesa
I have been practicing matrimonial and family law in Long Island, New York since January, 2003. After gaining valuable experience working for another prominent matrimonial attorney, I joined Tabat, Cohen, Blum & Yovino, LLP in November, 2004 and was named a partner in 2010. As an ambitious and dedicated attorney to my clients, I remain solution-based and make it a priority to steer my clients in the most rational direction. At times, clients going through divorce may become emotionally involved and may not think clearly during certain situations. As a result, it is important to remain objective and blunt while balancing this with compassion. I believe every case is unique and as such, must be handled differently. While some cases are ready to settled right away, there are others that may need more guidance. While my goal is to settle each case, unfortunately, some cases cannot be settled and must go to trial. I utilize an approach to make sure each case receives the best, most cost-effective result for my client. In addition, I have developed a successful mediation practice within the firm offering clients an alternative way to resolve their divorce issues.
