About Christopher Hefley

Mr. Hefley is the founder, CEO and Managing Shareholder of Hefley Law, APC. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science, graduating cum laude with a Minor in Psychology. Mr. Hefley earned his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law, during which time he clerked for the Los Angeles City attorney, Civil Liability division. Further he assisted in researching and drafting portions of the book “Understanding White Collar Crime”, as a research assistant for Professor J. Kelly Strader and he served as a Certified Law Clerk performing dozens of preliminary hearings with the Los Angeles District Attorneys’ office. Prior to founding Hefley Law, APC he worked for several years at a boutique workers compensation firm as well as with a large state wide workers compensation firm serving as the Senior Managing Attorney for nearly a decade. Prior to that, Mr. Hefley was a Senior Associate County Counsel with the Los Angeles County Counsel, Workers Compensation Division for several years. Mr. Hefley is certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation and has conducted numerous presentations over the years for TPA’s, Insurance companies, Government Entities and Self-Insured clients. Mr. Hefley currently sits on the ABA Section of Litigation Committees for Employment and Labor Relations and Ethics and Professionalism and is a member of the Committee for Worker’s Compensation. He is also designated as a Special Master by the State Bar of California serving all of Los Angeles County. Mr. Hefley previously served as a Judge Pro Tem for Los Angeles Superior Court. Mr. Hefley spends his time away from the office with his wife and children.
