About Stephen Renick
Adjunct Instructor & Mock Trial Coach with over 25 years of trial experience, in addition to 10 years of higher education experience in virtual and on-campus settings. My subject matter expertise includes civil litigation, business law, and family law. As a practicing attorney, I specialized in workers’ compensation and social security disability cases. After leading a successful law career, including owning and operating my own firm, I am now passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of legal professionals. In addition to serving as an instructor and attorney, I am deeply committed to helping aspiring lawyers hone their real-world legal skills by volunteering as a mock trial coach. Spanning my career, I have led high school and collegiate mock trial teams to win regional, state, and national championships. Most recently, my team and I at TERRA Environmental Research Institute won first place in the 2018 State of Florida High School Mock Trial Championship. As an educator, it is my goal to communicate and involve students in the pursuit of theoretical and conceptual understanding by tailoring my teaching style based on my student’s needs, learning environment, and level of material. By providing the proper form of instructions, while simultaneously encouraging student participation, I have a proven history of enabling my students to reach subject matter mastery.
