I have successfully written and argued appeals and other post-conviction motions in front of the Florida Eighteenth Judicial District Court, Florida's Fifth District Court of Appeals, the Kansas Court of Appeals, the Kansas Supreme Court and the Federal Tenth Circuit. Prior to opening my own practice in Brevard County, Florida, I worked for the firm of Douglas R. Beam, P.A., and 5 1/2 years as an Assistant Public Defender in Brevard County, Florida. Prior to Florida, I practiced in the greater Kansas City area for ten years as a criminal defense attorney. My career in Kansas City began with the local public defender's office then move into private practice where I worked for noted criminal defense attorney Carl E. Cornwell for 5 years before opening my own practice, The Travis Law Firm in Kansas City. With all positions, I was in court on almost a daily basis and had a successful appellate practice.
