About Lisa Greengrove
Lisa is a seasoned transactional attorney experienced in a wide range of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions including debt & equity finance, CMBS financing, securitization, distressed debt/asset financing, acquisition & disposition and loan restructuring, as well as corporate law and entity formation. Lisa spent over 3 years overseas in Tokyo working on complex acquisitions, financings and securitizations of distressed debt & real property in Japan. She served as outside general counsel for an American hedge fund that owned, managed and worked out distressed assets in Japan and engaged in innovative multi-cross-border asset management and loan servicing transactions. In addition to private practice, Lisa has served as Vice President (in-house counsel) in the CMBS group of Bear Stearns, where she structured and closed CMBS loans and facilitated their securitization, and has worked in Coopers & Lybrand's state & local tax group representing organizations and high net worth individuals in tax controversies, tax compliance and multi-state tax planning matters. Lisa's client base ranges from investment banks, institutional lenders and REITs to real estate advisors and developers to high net worth individuals, small businesses and start-ups. The first US-born of Japanese immigrants, Lisa maintains strong ties and connections with the Japanese community in the US, Japan and around the globe. Her entire extended family lives in Japan and she is conversant in Japanese.
