About Bret Rossi

With more than 40 years of complex litigation experience in both State and Federal Court, an AV Preeminent rated attorney and State Bar Certified Expert in Bankruptcy Law, I have recently refocused my practice on Alternative Dispute Resolution services, (ADR) encompassing Mediation, Arbitration, Pretrial Settlements and Neutral Evaluations. I recently "retired" from Kronick, although I maintain a substantial relationship, still assisting with several matters and as needed on special projects. To prepare for my transition, I gained significant experience by becoming a Certified Mediator in 2010, then putting that knowledge, training and experience to the test by volunteering as a pro tem settlement conference judge in Dept. 59, serving as a court mediator on Dept. 1's Civil Restraining Orders weekly calendar, serving on the Federal Dist. Court's Voluntary Dispute Resolution Program (VDRP), mediating ADA cases, mediating bankruptcy disputes through the Bankruptcy Dispute Resolution Program (BDRP), and arbitrating automobile warranty disputes through the National Center for Dispute Settlement (NCDS) and the California Dispute Settlement Program (CDSP). I have helped numerous litigants craft resolutions to a wide variety of disputes and served the courts by helping eliminate cases from their trial calendars. For my efforts on behalf of the District Court, I was recently honored to receive the 2022 esteemed Joe Ramsey Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Services. I am looking forward to working closely with all the attorneys and clients I have met over the past 40 years and those that I have yet to meet in my new role, assisting each of you and your clients craft binding agreements through mediation or providing you with an arbitrated resolution of your clients' disputes.
