About Alyson Cabrera

Alyson Cabrera is a Partner at Gordon & Rees LLP. Ms. Cabrera represents both private and public entities and focuses her practice on the areas of employment litigation-defense, civil rights-defense and constitutional law. Ms. Cabrera represents a wide range of clients with an emphasis on health care facilities and educational institutions. Ms. Cabrera defends employers in state and federal court, including through appeal, and has successfully argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Cabrera has also arbitrated numerous labor grievances and enjoyed an extensive law and motion practice, obtaining summary judgment in many of her employment cases. Ms. Cabrera has served as a consultant to University of California, Hastings College of the Law’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition team since 2002. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Cabrera worked for one year in Ghana, West Africa, where she volunteered with the International Federation of Women Lawyers to provide free legal aid for the benefit of indigent women and children.
