I focus my practice on employment, general civil and complex commercial litigation, handling all aspects of the process, including case evaluation, legal research, discovery, motion practice, and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and settlement conferences. I regularly appear in state and federal courts and before administrative boards (such as the Labor Commissioner, the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, and the Department of Personnel Administration) on behalf of privately and publicly held businesses, partnerships, sole proprietorships, public entities, receivers, and individuals (including C-Suite executives). I also regularly provide advice, counsel, and strategy to my clients, in the areas of wrongful termination, harassment and discrimination; trade secrets; wage and hour compliance; entrances and exits from the workplace; negotiation of executive compensation packages (including equity), consulting agreements and severance packages; and drafting of employment handbooks, contracts and policies for businesses of all sizes.
