EXPERIENCED TRIAL ATTORNEY I am a Partner in the Commercial Litigation Group. I also lead the Insurance and Managed Care Litigation Group. We are talented and results driven. I have been litigating for over 35 years in both federal and state trial and appellate courts and have a broad range and depth of experience. My experience includes the successful resolution of many complex, multi-million disputes contract and business disputes. UNCOMMON SOLUTIONS I take pride in providing strategic, creative, and cost effective representation, including finding uncommon solutions to common and uncommon problems. More times than not, cases “turn” on an unconventional approach — a new theory, evidence, or witness — causing many cases to resolve earlier than originally projected. To more effectively manage cases and budgets, we use the latest, proven litigation project management techniques and applications. COMMERCIAL LITIGATION I have extensive experience handling commercial, real estate, and other contract and tort claims. These areas include breach of contract, fraud, unfair business practices, banking, employee benefits, trade secrets, and commercial real estate. INSURANCE-MANAGED CARE-EMPLOYEE BENEFITS I have over 30 years of experience handling first-party coverage and “bad faith” litigation matters involving life, health, disability, property, and commercial insurance policies; and ERISA/employee benefit plans for insurers, managed care organizations, employers, and third-party administrators ranging from Fortune 100 companies to regional companies. I have extensive experience in matters involving marketing and sales, and unfair competition. I am a member and former Co-Chair of the Law Committee and former member of the Nominating Committee of the International Claim Association. I have authored numerous articles, papers, and presentations, including at the International Claim Association Annual Education Conference, Association of Fraternal Benefit Counsel Annual Meeting, American Bar Association (Life, Health and Disability Committee), American Conference Institute, and other insurance industry conferences.
