About Erica Ostberg

I am a Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel with a passion for providing strategic legal advice on streamlining and automating operational processes, mitigating risk while growing profitability, and being a source of executive input and support to diverse teams across the organization. I love the challenges that come with being a legal and business executive – expanding my knowledge base on new corporate and legal areas, providing value across the enterprise, accomplishing positive results, and being adaptable during times of growth and uncertainty. My approach to decision-making allows me to concentrate on the larger vision of the organization while capturing stakeholder buy-in. At TCWGlobal, I serve as a member of the executive team and report directly to the CEO to assist with a vast array of corporate legal needs and functions. In my daily work, I navigate between overseeing the internal and external compliance needs of the company while also leading the operations department. I advise on corporate governance, employment law changes, and independent contractor compliance. I review and negotiate contracts for commercial transactions, as well as create and manage internal and external policies/procedures. Since TCWGlobal serves as a global employer of record, I am continually working to create, improve, and maintain operational processes that comply with global and regional requirements. I oversee risk management and mitigation, including areas such as workers' compensation, property and liability insurance, and data privacy. Our goal is to ensure we are best serving our clients and helping them navigate the ever-changing needs associated with their contingent workforce. When I’m not working, you can find me riding my Peloton bike or spending time outdoors hiking and paddleboarding.
