About Laurence Seymour
I am a partner in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins, where I commenced practice in January 2005, after relocating from New York. I am a member of the firm's Tax Department, and currently Chair the firm's Executive Compensation, Employment and Benefits practice. I represent public and private companies, banks, private equity firms and other entities, as well as senior executives and management teams, focusing on: Structuring, implementing and maintaining compensation plans and benefit arrangements; Counseling on all executive compensation and employee benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions, financings, IPOs and other corporate transactions, including matters pertaining to golden parachutes (280G), deferred compensation (409A), executive compensation, pension and welfare plan issues; and Structuring compensation arrangements for senior executives, including employment and severance agreements, stock option, restricted stock, profits interest and other equity compensation, phantom equity, incentive compensation, deferred compensation, severance and parachute arrangements.
