About Victor Felix

I handle patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret disputes and commercial litigation. My practice focuses on representing business owners, technology companies, institutions, individuals in IP litigation, securities and business disputes. I had extensive previous experience as a senior design engineer prior to practicing law. I have extensive litigation experience in the "hot" patent court districts such as Texas, Illinois, Delaware, California, the "rocket docket" in Virginia, and the International Trade Commission in D.C. (ITC). I am admitted to practice before all California state and federal courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, District of Colorado, Eastern District of Texas, Northern District of Texas, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. Here are some of my representative matters: • Neology v. Federal Signal, prosecuted patent case involving passive radio-frequency identification (“RFID”) technology used in the tolling industry in the District of Delaware and the ITC. • D.R. Systems v CoActive, defended patent infringement case involving medical imaging technology. • DNT v. Sprint-Nextel, defended patent infringement claim involving mobile phone carrier’s wireless modem cards in the Eastern District of Virginia (“rocket docket”). Jury verdict of no infringement and invalidity of the asserted patent claims. • Sorensen v. Kyocera, defended patent infringement claim involving two-step injection molding technology. Following the filing of a motion for summary judgment on a novel issue of law, client was able to obtain a confidential settlement on very favorable terms. • Bandspeed v. Acer, Inc., defended patent infringement claim involving single-channel frequency hopping protocols used in Bluetooth® compliant products in the Eastern District of Texas. • Aerus v. ProTeam, defended patent and trade dress infringement, false advertising, trade secret misappropriation, breach of contract and unfair competition claims involving ProTeam’s introduction of new upright vacuum cleaner. Following successful motions for summary judgment, plaintiff agreed to settle case on very favorable terms for the client. • Alltech, Inc. v. Cenzone, defended patent infringement lawsuit on biotechnology patent in the animal feed industry. Confidential settlement on very favorable terms to client following deposition of plaintiff’s experts. • Dataquill v.
