About Timothy Hyden
I have a BS degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice and Ms. Ed in Instructional Leadership . I have a demonstrated history of working in corrections as a corrections officer and corrections counselor and working with law enforcement and the courts through Missouri Probation and Parole where I supervised a caseload of domestic violence, sex offender, and interstate compact clients. I have experience in crisis intervention and CIT certified through Missouri Department of Corrections. I have assisted in CIT acting scenarios where I helped officers new to CIT be able to learn skills in deescalation. In my new position at Burrell Behavioral Health as a Co-Responder working with police departments, I can use my experience in deescalation in the community and be a source for information for those that may be experiencing mental health problems and getting people the help they need.
