Gary L. Mr. Sasso currently serves on the Board of the Florida Council of 100 where he recently chaired the Economic Competitiveness Committee; as General Counsel and a member of the Board and Executive Committee of the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council; as a member of the Council of the American Law Institute; as a member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity; and as a member of the Advisory Board of the Tampa Medical and Research District. He has served on the Council of the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation and as Editor-in-Chief of Litigation magazine and as a member of the Board of the Tampa Arts Alliance. He is also a Fellow in the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers. In his practice, Mr. Sasso has represented business clients in securities fraud and consumer fraud class actions and other complex litigation at the trial and appellate level, in the financial services industry, energy sector, manufacturing sector, and services sector. Mr. Sasso has tried cases in the areas of securities fraud, business contracts, products liability, professional malpractice, employment law, eminent domain, bankruptcy, construction, administrative law, and land use in Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. He has argued appeals around the country on diverse issues including business fraud, constitutional claims, products liability, personal injury, insurance coverage, national bank regulation, employment discrimination, occupational safety and health, eminent domain, taxation, and public utilities law.
