Defending employers with workforces in California affords me a platform to do what I love for a living - helping companies continue to grow and succeed in their business. In my practice, I advise and represent clients in matters involving California labor and employment law. During my years of practice, I have gained extensive experience in representing employers before state, federal and appellate courts in various employment disputes involving claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour violations for clients in the banking, retail, insurance, food and beverage, hospitality and manufacturing industries. Defending clients against class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) matters has been a large part of my practice. In fact, I have an undefeated record at trial, as well as on appeal. My trial experience consists of defending high profile retail and bank clients against claims of misclassification of employees, and I have also been successful at arbitration. In addition to my litigation practice, I play a critical advisory role to California employers. This is another area that allows me to assist California employers. I counsel clients on business strategies to ensure compliance with the daunting array of employment laws regulating California businesses, which in turn allows me to become an extension of my clients’ management team and a true business partner. My goal is to provide proactive approaches that will alleviate my clients’ worries and stave off potential costly future litigation.
