About Kathleen Kearney

Kathleen earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Boston College School of Nursing, and a master’s degree in advance practice nursing from Emory University School of Nursing. She earned her juris doctor from Suffolk University Law School and became licensed as an attorney in 2006. Every year since 2019, Kathleen has been named a Texas Super Lawyer after being a Rising Star from 2012-2018 and an Up & Coming 50 Women in Texas in 2018 (Super Lawyers, Thomson Reuters). She was also included on the Top 40 Under 40 list by The National Trial Lawyers for many years. Kathleen received the Distinguished Service Award from The American Association of Nurse Attorneys in 2016, and was named Big Sister of the Year for Dallas County’s chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters in 2014. Kathleen is a member of several professional legal organizations including the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association, Dallas Women Lawyers Association, Sigma Theta Tau, and The American Association of Nurse Attorneys. Every spring, she volunteers to judge the state high school mock trial competition and attends career day at a local elementary school. She also volunteers for the Dallas Bar Association’s Legal Line, and Dallas Country Dispute Resolution Cetner as a mediator. Kathleen also served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care from 2019-2021. Admitted to practice law by the Supreme Court of Texas, Kathleen is also permitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
