Texas attorney with 25+ years of experience spanning transactional law, energy, real estate, insurance coverage, and complex litigation — bringing legal analysis, commercial instincts, and first-hand landowner perspective to every matter.My transactional foundation was built managing large-scale agreements from cradle to grave at national law firms — negotiating liability, indemnity, risk-transfer, and confidentiality provisions with multi-national counter-parties. As Claims Counsel at Zurich North America, I analyzed insurance and surety contracts, evaluated risk exposure, and supervised outside counsel, developing the inside/outside counsel discipline that complex infrastructure transactions require.My energy and real estate background is long-standing and personal. As an Independent Landman, I performed oil and gas title due diligence on acquisition projects across Texas, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania — including the Hunt Petroleum acquisition — reviewing leases, mineral deeds, poolings, unitizations, and joint operating agreements. I conducted title searches for Texas wind energy projects.I am an active landowner. My family has owned a Texas ranch since 1906, and I hold acreage currently subject to an active seismic program and adjacent utility-scale solar development. I track ERCOT dynamics, grid transmission infrastructure and power procurement strategy as matters of personal and professional consequence — not academic interest. This landowner lens impacts how I read easements, surface use agreements, and power agreements in ways purely transactional attorneys might miss — positioning me at the intersection of real estate law, energy infrastructure, and the AI, data center, and cloud buildout reshaping Texas and the digital economy.My BBA in Accounting with honors, Magna Cum Laude, from Texas Tech — with all four parts of the CPA Exam passed — adds financial analytical capability particularly valuable in tax incentive and economic development transactions.
