About Robert Friedman
I am a Shareholder in Littler’s Dallas office and the founding Co-Chair of Littler’s Arbitration Practice Group, leading a national team of attorneys with extensive experience drafting, promulgating, and enforcing employment arbitration agreements. Previously, I served as the Managing Shareholder of Littler’s Dallas, Austin, and Fayetteville offices. I am Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and I exclusively represent employers, litigating on behalf of management before state and federal trial and appellate courts, arbitrators, and state and federal agencies. In my practice, I advise and represent employers in virtually every aspect of the employee-employer relationship and routinely defend businesses in wage and hour class and collective action litigation in state and federal courts across the country. As a leading nationwide authority on drafting and enforcing arbitration agreements, I have successfully argued arbitration enforcement issues before state and United States Courts of Appeals, state Supreme Courts, and the United States Supreme Court. My practice also includes significant nationwide experience representing businesses in wage and hour class and collective action litigation under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state law. Additionally, I litigate, arbitrate, and manage a large docket of employment discrimination, C-Suite executive disputes, and breach of contract cases. Most commonly, I work with the following types of clients: Energy, oil and gas and drilling companies, hospital and healthcare providers, rent-to-own companies, retailers, service organizations, telecommunications companies, temporary and PEO agencies, and companies in the transportation industry.
